ADMIN Control Panel

Postby mccragge on Wed Jun 17, 2009 2:21 am

I am curious what everyone else has done to their Admin Control Panel (ACP).

The ACP is pretty lean on features when you get it out of the box. So, what new things, if any have you added to yours? Any cool screenshots of the mods you have done? Show me yours and I will show you mine :)

Thats pretty cool, why do you have "types" for all the armor and weapons? I will post pics of mine a little later tonight.

If you would like I think i know how to make it so that it will show all them in a strait line but divide it amongst pages

The "Type" sub is so if I want to make a short sword, and have it be made into all the different metal types / wood types / leather types, I type in short sword, and it makes me a copper / bronze / iron / steel / ect... (16 times)

I'm okay with my current admin system, I just use phpMyAdmin anyway lol

This is my current Admin Panel

Like yours I haven't done to much with it. Although I have added more options inside some of the links. For example, gloves now have an option to raise or lower a players weaponless skill when equipped. Also, there is a ton more info on players and their characters in the Edit Player and Users tabs. (I probably shouldn't show those as it reveals players emails and other information)

I plan to add tons more info and ways to manipulate the game without having to use the PHPMyAdmin panel...as I can't access that from other computers (well I suppose I could, but prefer not too)

I like the Images you guys used for yours :P especially your mcCragge. Currently i am developing a fully functional admin template.

I mean it isn't originally designed for phaos but with some tweaking and i am sure i could pull it off. I will have some pics up with in the week. Right now i am just playing around with my php/mysql skills learning and stuff. But i figure i will make one template that actually functions with the DB Fully then I will be making more flexible and fluent versions. also my friends and I have started a side project from our lives are are developing a new web framework. it will be python based :) i am still trying to convince them to make it a Game developing framework but it doesn't seem to be heading that way. but at least i can create a mod to it what will have full gaming development features. Where the you can input your battle functions and stuff or run off of general one's by default. either way... it seems like a decent project. The Framework it's self is a challenge to build but between us we have the knowledge to pull it off.

I'm actually confused why you say the admin panel doesn't function properly, mine creates and edits what it is supposed just fine. I can't remember if I had to fix anything, but so far it works well.

It's more to the point that it's not as versatile as one might prefer...
